What do you get when you combine a teacher, a comedian and a COO? An attentive, knowledgeable, detail-oriented, and entertaining real estate agent. At least that’s what we got when Lauren joined the team.
Lauren’s career has taken her down a (wide) variety of paths and while she didn’t see it at the time, that combination of disparate experiences is exactly what makes her such a strong agent and advocate for her clients.
Lauren got a BA in English and Secondary Education from the University of Michigan. While she’d always dreamed of being a teacher, she fell into comedic writing while in college and moved to NYC after graduation, where she built a start-up blog into a national brand with over 100 contributing writers. It was here that Lauren realized she had a real knack for building systems and decided to take that very valuable skillset into a new industry. She spent the next 7 years as COO of an education consulting company, taking the company from a 3-person operation to a team of 100+ with offices in the US and China.
Lauren made the jump from the corporate world into real estate after realizing she could turn a passion for visiting open houses into a full time gig. As Moda Group’s first Director of Operations, Lauren leveraged her unique combination of skills and experiences to help build the signature systems upon which our team operates.
Today, as Moda Group’s resident buyer’s agent, Lauren focuses on educating her clients on everything from neighborhood architecture to the best place to buy an area rug. Her love for teaching - along with her attention to detail, management skills, and grit - make her an awesome agent for everyone from the first-time buyer to experienced investors.
Lauren grew up in suburban Detroit and now lives in Logan Square. In her free time, she plays tennis, takes pictures of her food and binge-watches Bravo with her Toy Poodle, Harvey.
